Terms of Service

1. Agreement, and who this is for

By creating a Nolies account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. Nolies is for people 18 and older only. By using Nolies, you confirm you're at least 18. If you're not, please don't use Nolies — we take this seriously, and violations result in account termination.

2. What Nolies is

Nolies is an anonymous messaging and social platform: anonymous message links, reels, social cards, a coin economy for premium features, and Nolies Connect, an opt-in, verification-gated dating section. These Terms cover all of it; Section 13 below covers what's specific to Connect.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. One account per person — creating multiple accounts to evade a ban, bypass rate limits, or manipulate coin rewards/referrals is a violation of these Terms and will result in all associated accounts being terminated.

4. User conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, on any part of the platform
• Post illegal, defamatory, hateful, or sexually exploitative content
• Send spam, run bots, or use automated tools to message, like, or create accounts at a pace no real person would
• Attempt to scam, defraud, or solicit money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial information from other users
• Impersonate another person, use stolen or AI-generated photos as your own likeness, or misrepresent your age or identity
• Attempt to circumvent identity verification, a ban, or any other enforcement action — including by creating a new account on a device already banned
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems, reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with its normal operation
• Violate any applicable law

Our full content and behavior rules — including exactly how scam and bot detection works — are in the Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms.

5. Content moderation

We use automated pattern detection (for harassment, hate speech, self-harm content, scam patterns, and bot-like behavior) alongside human review of reports. Content that violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines may be removed, and accounts may be warned, suspended, or permanently terminated, depending on severity — see the Community Guidelines for specifics.

6. Coins and purchases

Nolies uses an in-app coin economy for premium features (voice effects, custom cards, Connect boosts, and similar). Coins are purchased through Apple's or Google's in-app purchase systems and are non-refundable except as required by law or those platforms' own refund policies, which we don't control. Coin prices and what they unlock may change; we'll never retroactively take away coins you've already purchased.

7. Content ownership

You own what you create on Nolies — your messages, reels, and cards. By posting, you grant us a license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the service (for example, showing your reel in other users' feeds). The Nolies name, logo, and app itself are our property.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law, at our discretion and without prior notice for serious violations. You can delete your own account at any time from Settings — see our Privacy Policy for what that actually does to your data.

9. Disclaimers

Nolies is provided "as is." We work to keep it available, accurate, and safe, but we don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that our moderation will catch every violation. You use Nolies at your own discretion, particularly around anything you choose to share or anyone you choose to meet through Connect.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Nolies isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including the conduct of other users.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes, notify you in-app before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Nolies, Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

13. Nolies Connect (dating)

Nolies Connect is a separate, opt-in section of the app for meeting other verified users. The following applies specifically to that section, in addition to everything else in these Terms:

• No outcome guarantee. Nolies Connect facilitates introductions only. We do not guarantee that you will form any relationship, friendship, or marriage, or achieve any other outcome, regardless of the relationship purpose or filters you select.
• No liability for off-platform conduct. Nolies is not responsible for the conduct of any user once you leave the app, including at or around any in-person meeting. The in-app safety tools and safety guidance we provide are intended to reduce — not eliminate — the risks inherent in meeting someone you connected with online, and using them does not transfer that risk to us.
• Zero tolerance for solicitation, sex work, and trafficking. Using Nolies Connect to solicit or advertise commercial sexual services, or for any form of human trafficking or exploitation, is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account and device termination and, where required by law, a report to the relevant authorities. See the Community Guidelines for the full policy.
• 18+ only, verified. Nolies Connect requires government-ID and liveness verification before a profile becomes visible to anyone else. Attempting to circumvent this verification, or misrepresenting your age or identity, is a violation of these Terms.
• Scam and bot enforcement. Connect chat is scanned for financial-solicitation and off-platform-migration patterns common to romance scams, on top of the general enforcement in Section 4/5. A confirmed scam attempt results in immediate account and device termination.
